Wolters Kluwer Secures Place on Sainsbury’s Legal Panel

  London, 6 May 2014 – Wolters Kluwer, the global information services company, has re-secured its place on Sainsbury’s Legal Community through the Croner brand in the UK. Sainsbury’s is the UK’s number two chain of supermarkets, operating in over 1,100 locations, employing 157,000 people and with 2013 revenues of over £23 billion. Sainsbury’s Legal Community was set up in 2008 to streamline the external provision of legal services. Wolters Kluwer was one of the companies on the original panel and, following two extensive reviews in 2011 and 2014, continues to deal with employment matters for the company through the Croner name. Andrew Willis, Head of Litigation for Wolters Kluwer’s Croner brand, says: “We are delighted to have been re-appointed to Sainsbury’s Legal Panel for Employment. We have been working with the organisation since 2003 and during this time we have developed an excellent working relationship with them. This new three-year contract with a pre—eminent UK supermarket demonstrates our commitment to providing a cost-effective, expert service.” Nick Grant, Sainsbury's Head of Legal Services, who led the review, says: ““We take this opportunity every three years to look at the quality and range of firms in the Sainsbury’s Legal Community to ensure the company continues to receive the best possible service. “I’m very pleased with the outcome – we’ve managed to both bring in new talent and retain the expertise and experience of long-standing Sainsbury’s firms. “I and my in-house team look forward to working with them all over the next few years to deliver the first rate legal service that our business has come to expect.”.
