Full Stack Developer
The Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to build and improve our marketing websites, with DatoCMS at the centre of content delivery. Working closely with marketing, content and design colleagues, you will turn campaign goals and customer needs into websites that are easy to use, accessible and effective at generating enquiries or other agreed conversions.
You will work across the front end and supporting back end, with a strong focus on user experience, website performance and giving marketers the tools to publish confidently.
What you will do
DatoCMS and full stack development
Build and maintain responsive marketing websites, campaign landing pages and reusable website components.
Develop DatoCMS content models, reusable content blocks and publishing workflows that make content easy for marketers to manage.
Connect DatoCMS to the website front end, including content previews, API integrations and publishing triggers.
Develop server-side functionality and integrations for forms, CRM systems and marketing tools, with appropriate validation and secure handling of data.
Maintain code quality through version control, testing, reliable deployments and clear documentation.
UX and website performance
Work with designers and marketers to improve navigation, page layouts, calls to action and enquiry journeys across devices.
Use analytics, user feedback and usability testing to identify friction and prioritise improvements.
Build accessible interfaces, including keyboard navigation, semantic HTML and clear form feedback.
Improve loading speed and Core Web Vitals, and support technical SEO through sound page structure, metadata and redirects.
Marketing collaboration
Translate marketing briefs into practical technical solutions, explain trade-offs and agree realistic delivery priorities.
Support campaign launches and conversion experiments, implement reliable measurement and help the team act on results.
Help content editors use DatoCMS effectively and maintain consistency across the website.
What will you Bring?
Experience delivering and maintaining websites across front-end and back-end development.
Practical experience with DatoCMS, including content modelling, content delivery APIs and front-end integration.
Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript or TypeScript skills, with experience using a modern web framework such as React or Next.js.
Experience building server-side functionality, working with APIs and connecting external services; familiarity with databases where required.
A good understanding of responsive design, accessibility, usability and the relationship between UX and conversion.
Experience with Git, testing, deployment and troubleshooting live websites.
The ability to work with non-technical colleagues, balance campaign deadlines with maintainability and explain technical decisions clearly.
Examples of previous work that show your contribution to website quality, user experience or marketing outcomes.
Useful additional experience
Design collaboration in Figma and experience maintaining a component library or design system.
Web analytics and tagging tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
A/B testing, conversion rate optimisation, CRM integrations or marketing automation platforms.
Technical SEO, image optimisation, hosting platforms and automated deployment pipelines.
What Success Looks Like
You will agree priorities and measures with the marketing team. Success will include:
Clearer customer journeys and improved completion of key actions, such as enquiries, sign-ups or demo requests.
Faster, more accessible and reliable website experiences across devices.
Marketers publishing routine content and building pages confidently in DatoCMS.
Campaign pages delivered to agreed timelines, with dependable measurement and maintainable code.
