Dyson Technical Ceramics Ltd

2012: the year London hosted the Olympics, and the beginning of Dyson Technical Ceramics’ business story.

Background

Dyson Technical Ceramics operates on a global scale; their clients spanning over 37 countries and six continents, supplying cutting edge refractory ceramics worldwide.

Their blend of global contacts, technical experience, and innovative thinking is summed up by their mission statement: ‘Focus, Innovation, and Performance.’

“We mainly create and provide technical ceramics for the steel and glass industry, for businesses with technical requirements in these areas,” says Mr Dave Jordan, Operations Director for the business.

As with any business, their success and level of service has been built up over a number of years and Dyson are now acknowledged globally for supplying high performance product of consistent properties.

Challenge

“We employ 45 people, who are split between our Co Durham based manufacturing site and Sheffield Head Office and Research and Development laboratory," says Mr Jordan. Managing a workforce who, in this case, boast a combination of 806 years’ experience between them, has been rewarding yet challenging for the business.

How We've Helped

Dyson Technical Ceramics and Croner have been working together for the last four years. Over this time, Croner have provided professional advice on a wide range of Human Resources and Health and Safety which included specifically changing Terms & Conditions along with Health & Safety matters that have provided a successful outcome.

Mr Jordan echoes, “Every time I request support from Croner, the advice is clear and to the point. So far, they have resolved every issue that we have come across.”
