Equality and Discrimination

No matter which industry your business might lie, every work setting has requirements for equality, diversity, discrimination, and rights.

The modern workplace is a diverse environment, and this can sometimes be cause for discrimination to occur. The Equality Act 2010 protects individuals from discrimination and ensures equal opportunities.

A number or what’s called ‘protected characteristics’ means an employee cannot be discriminated against if they have one of these. These include age, disability, gender reassignment, race, pregnancy, religion, sexual orientation and gender.

Our articles below can provide you with the latest news on discrimination prevention and how to get your workplace a discrimination free zone. If you have further questions on how to prevent discrimination from occurring, give our experienced team a call on 0808 501 6651.
