On May 25 2018, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force, bringing in a strict set of new rules concerning privacy and data security, and imposing penalties on organisations which violate them.
The regulations were introduced to adapt to the pace of a modern digital landscape, and are more extensive in scope and application than the previous Data Protection Act. This White Paper, written by Croner Legal Advisor Liam Holland, aims to explain what GDPR is, how it impacts organisations, and the consequences of any breach. Our comments and research within this report are intended as a guide for employers. For further advice or guidance on the matter, please contact 01455 858 132 and quote "GDPR".
