Organisations are under a legal obligation to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to assist disabled employees during their working day. These adjustments are aimed at removing or reducing the disadvantages faced by disabled individuals at work when compared to their non-disabled employees.

Although a legal duty to make these adjustments only arises if the employee is considered ‘disabled’ employers can also choose to explore this even where this is no legal duty. This can further help support an individual whilst at work and help avoid their condition worsening as a result of increased levels of stress.
