Sometimes you may be required to lay off an employee.

This may be due to no fault of the employee, but circumstances beyond either the employer or the employee's control. 

Even so, laying off an employee can be tricky, awkward, and tense. Writing a letter laying off the employee can sometimes be even harder.

That's why we've drafted this sample letter (with example scenario) to help ease the stress of doing so.
